Oggalesh is an ancient unique being of vast and mysterious power. He appears to the mind’s eye as a gargantuan toad with dark green and orange-speckled skin and four strange, piercing eyes that always seem to be hauntingly staring directly into the soul. His voice resonates in the mind with an impossibly deep vocal tone, sounding more like thunder or the heavy cracking of stone followed by long-trailing reverberations. He is the king of his own personal realm, a minor plane of existence unto itself known as the Elderfell Swamp. This bizarre, foreboding lair manifests as a dark and murky wetland, mist-covered and seemingly without end. Traveling in a single direction in an attempt to find its edge only results in looping back to where one started—and yet, no two journeys within this place are ever the same.
